Douching may affect your chances of having a healthy pregnancy. Limited research shows that douching may make it harder for you to get pregnant. In women trying to get pregnant, those who douched more than once a week took the longest to get pregnant. :? :D

Studies also show that douching may increase a woman's chance of damaged fallopian tubes and ectopic (ek-TOP-ik) pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is when the fertilized egg attaches to the inside of the fallopian tube instead of the uterus. If left untreated, ectopic pregnancy can be life threatening. It can also make it hard for a woman to get pregnant in the future.

I suppose it to be harmful to one's health,
I just found 'Many health-care professionals state that douching is dangerous, as it interferes with both the vagina's normal self-cleaning and with the natural bacterial culture of the vagina, and it might spread or introduce infections. Douching is implicated in a wide variety of dangers, including: adverse pregnancy outcomes including ectopic pregnancy, low birth weight, preterm labor, preterm birth, and chorioamnionitis; serious gynecologic outcomes, including increased risk of cervical cancer, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, and increased risk for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV; it also predisposes women to develop bacterial vaginosis (BV),which is further associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes and increased risk of sexually transmitted infections.'

to sum up, it is harmful and it would be better if you avoid this procedure.
